Luxury Day

I had a great and luxury day today.
Started from lunch hour at EEST, The Westin Hotel, till dinner buffet at Prince Hotel.
It was a wonderful outing today.

We had lunch box set at EEST with RM 42++ per person.
As usual, with Starwood Card we get 50% discount for 2 person dining.
The food was great. I loved the crispy fried pork belly(siew bah).
Here's the menu page for the lunch set and the food:

[1st, they serve you the soup. The soup was amazing. I loved it! Then the 'main course' came. The few items on the menu page were all in one (crystal dumpling, Shrimp and Pork Dumpling, Pork Belly and 4 types of vegetables). Lastly, dessert came which I felt quite okay with it. Maybe it wasn't my favorite taste (Everyone knows I love strawberry ice-cream). The coffee was awesome and probably one of the best coffee I ever drank. LOVE IT! ]

After lunch, we went for BTS movie at 2pm. The hall was small size but only 5 person watching the movie.
BTS (Bangkok Traffic Story) was long for 2 hours and 15 minutes. It was really entertaining and funny and I love it! Worth it the ticket price though. Hehehe.

Before we left to Duo Residency to visit a friend we stopped by Starhill Gallery to take some information on The Capers condominium.
Amazingly still some units left for low-rise unit in Block B and D. Well, for those didn't get it last weekend, you can have your time now to pick which unit you want from the left-units. LOL.
The experience last weekend was crazy and it opened my eyes indeed.
You can't judge a person by his appearance. There were so many rich people buying property like hot cake. ONE minute to choose the unit you want/preferred from the white-board.
Madness I called it !
Eventually we got ourself one unit we like.
Thank God for that!
Here's some photos I took from YTL, Starhill Gallery.

Duo Residency is super great place to live.
Too expensive to live. LOL
Anyway, it was great to have a visit there.
Thanks to the friend and the red wine as well. I was a bit drunk while driving to Prince Hotel for dinner buffet. Hahah.

Tonight's dinner buffet we didn't eat much because we had red wine with empty stomach.
Great time with friend and chat a lot. I was picturing myself as they are now in another 20 years. What would it be like? ....Nothing. Absolutely nothing. :-)
I always taking myself as an matured adult. I want to be them right now. I want to be old just like them. I don't know why I have this crazy idea since kid. People want to be young and I want to be old. It just insane.
Well good night to you all. It's kinda late right now.
Say your thankful and prayer to God before sleep.
I always do that.
Do you?

Tomb-sweeping Festival (清明节)

Early in the morning with dark clouds in the sky, we thought its going to rain. Indeed when we got into the car rain started pouring down. The rain ended after 5 minutes and the Sun was totally naked in the blue sky. Dramatic change in just 5 minutes and it was HOT HOT sunny morning!

Today is Tomb-sweeping day. In Mandarin, we called it QingMing. Once every year for all family members to gather together and helps to sweep ancestor's tomb. So this morning, luckily we got in slightly earlier, otherwise we would end up couldn't get in because of the traffic. Please see the picture:
(Cars cannot move because of the small road)

After 15minutes of the congestion, we got in to the back of hill where grandparents resting place is there.

This is how we do it:

Step 1: Call all family members to gather there first.
Step 2: All arrived, next is to gather all the food and put it front of grave.
Step 3: Incense time. Everyone needs to.

Step 4: Burn the money for grandparents and light up the firecrackers.

Step 5: Waited 5-10 minutes and toss the coins to see grandparents eaten yet. If its a Head and a Tail, that means grandparents finished eating. Everyone take back their food.

Step 6: If there is a PIG, I mean pork meat, then we will eat over there before heading back home.

My grandparents has 8 sons & 1 daughter, so its like a big family. Every year we all will come on this special day.
For me, its not a family gathering. I go because I pay my respect. My grandma loved me the most! As grandchild, no matter what you have to come back for this day. It's the principle. But nowadays Youth generation are not thoughtful.

(People there, not us. Amazing isn't it? )

After the pork meat, we moved on. 'Balik Rumah' and shower and rest.
Hope you had a great time in visiting your ancestors' grave.

Great Meal after 1 month sick (Sinful ? )

It's been a while I didn't post any food pictures. No great food to snap since I was sick.

Until yesterday Friday we went to Celestial Court for Dim Sum lunch. It was great. First dim sum meal after 1 month sick.

Noticed also that they change new uniform and not just that. The tableware, dining table and the menu book also changed.

The Dim Sum items we ordered are always the same. For March, they have special menu for Cod Fish. She strongly recommended so we had one then. This is the cheapest item in that special menu:

Each item below has Cod Fish meat. RM 28

Here are the rest of photos, enjoy.

Recovery (Sick part 2)

I can't say I'm 100% okay by now, because my body tells me its not. I just feel it. It is not that my mind was all over negative thought. But at least, I'm fine now.

Ulcers were gone. No more headache. Sleep well now.
My taste is coming back slowly as well.
Something is lacking of. Its my energy.
I need to get it back.

Today is Monday. Another new week. Last night I kept telling myself I must do something starts tomorrow, especially find a job. I supposed to rest after I resigned last month but I couldn't rest enough. I have been causing a mess my partner's normal daily routine. It didn't feel right if I didn't work. People like us, always need to work. Work for the whole life. It's fate, har? Well, let it be then.

2011 is a tough year to me.
Is this fate too? Let it be? What would you do if you are in my position...
God Bless everyone and those quake & tsunami victims in Japan.
