Luk Yu Tea House 陆羽茶楼 @ Starhill Gallery

Happy Labour Day to everyone! It's your day. You deserved it!

On that particular day, we went to Starhill Gallery and were thinking to have lunch in Li Yen (Ritz Carlton hotel) by asking YTL staff to make a reservation. Unfortunately you have to make reservation a week ahead or so. So we gave up and eventually to Luk Yu Tea House.

I've been to this Luk Yu Tea House once and ordered the Fried Rice with Prawns & Salted Egg Yolk 黄金炒饭. I thought it was good but small portion. If not because of the discount we won't go there I guess. Hehe. So this time we went for the dim sum there. For two person we just order 7 dishes. Please see the photos.

Steamed Chicken and Prawn Dumpling "Siew Mai" RM 7.90

Steamed Crystal Prawn Dumpling "Har Kau" RM 9.80

Steamed Shanghainese Chicken Dumpling "Xiao Long Pao" RM 7.80

Steamed Chee Cheong Fun with Barbequed Chicken RM 9.80

 Steamed Scallop Dumpling RM 9.80

Braised Ee-Fu Noodles with Crabmeat, Golden Mushrooms and Dried Scallop RM 29.00

Steamed Glutinous Rice in traditional style RM 7.80

The XiaoLongPao was not good. The skin of XiaoLongPao was too thin. It broked when we took it with chopsticks. Arghh...turn off! Braised Ee-Fu Noodles looked like a dish from the street stall but it turned out to be very good. I love it! I have to give credit to Steamed Glutinous Rice. First time I had one that's has egg yolk! Now I feel like "Katak di bawah tempurung". I had it in Celestial Court @Sheraton hotel but it didn't have egg yolk though. :D

Total price including two Chinese tea RM 5 each, is RM 105. With CIMB credit card, we enjoyed 20 % discount! If you're YTL Platinum Plus card member, then you also can enjoy 20 %  discount.

Well, still keeping our eyes on Li Yen @ Ritz Carlton. Kekeke. Hope you guys like my post.
